Numbers

We went the Cheesecake Factory at Cocowalk (scroll down to the pic at the bottom) where we met a financial volenteer and his wife that helps with the SBA and SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives. Although he is not retired, he owns a financial business.

He gave us alot of valuable information. There are several changes that I need to adjust. Some items I didn't think of and others that need more real life percentages. For example merchant charges which I was told where at 1.5%, but according to his wife who owns a high end retail store in Boca Raton informed me that there are also fees attached to those merchant charges that I was told of so in reality the percentages are more like 3%-5%. I have to adjust my rent, utilites yada, yada ...

He also thinks that my gross sales is to high. I am not convinced. Gaming is a 10 billion dollar a year market and going up. The month of March showed an industry increase of 32% .. that's an increase of $2.5 BILLION in ONE Month !! I have my figure calculated at about 20 units per hour. Which seems on target, actually under target. The assumption is that one person will buy one game at a time. But I have witnessed persons buying 2-3 games at a time, or games + accessories and related gaming materials. These are the factors that are not weighed in and to which I must make clear in my figures. Never-the-less I am going to refigure my model to 7 sku's per hour. It will look more in line with what loaning institutions may expect and if I need advance working capital b/c the demand supersedes my cash flow then I can always seek additional working capital, which will be easier to acquire with an already established business showing high demand.

I have also started on the website. I have spent literally days on it, but I think I've finally started to make some headway. I still have MUCH work to do on it and I hope to have a beta version up in a week. That's a lot of work, so if I do manage to get something up it will not be completed. Maybe I should say I'll try to get a "Closed Alpha" test site up by then 8p
